Hi everybody.

Man, time is flying. Last time I wrote, I'd been moved out for three weeks. Now I'm getting closer and closer to three months! It's unbelievable.
Last week was my easter holiday, my only holiday during this whole drawing course, so I made sure to make the most of it. Oh, and I also turned 20 during it, woohoo! Now I can finally make fun of teenagers and not get it shoved back in my face.

Anyways, had a great time with my mom, sisters, grandparents and boyfriend. Finally we got to do all the stuff we'd been talking about. My big sister and I went and saw Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd in the cinemma - whoa! Words fail me when I try to describe the awesomeness of that film, so I'll just keep it short and urge you to go. Watch. It. Now.
Of course, it probably doesn't run in the theaters anymore, so...you'll have to wait for the dvd with the rest of us.

What else....before that, two weeks ago, I was working my a** off to get my portfolio done in time. I managed it in the nick of time, and though there's still lots of room for improvement (it's the life of the artist, after all

), I can still say I'm very proud of what I submitted. Now all there's left is to wait until somewhere around the 7th, where we'll all know if we've been accepted for the drawing test or not - which will eventually decide who gets into the education, and who doesn't. Phew.
Some samples of my drawings I've submitted as deviations, see further below.
Apart from all this, I've been doing what I usually do...oh, but I found some great links to pass time, too. I recently discovered the wonderful world of independent games, and I'm already completely lovestruck - the target of my attention at the moment is the game Aquaria, which has to be experienced. If you like underwater, exploration, and cool powers, then this is the game for you. See more in my links section.
I guess that's about it for now. I gotta get this journal css changed, by the way...I've not been completely fond of it, and after getting a widescreen monitor, it looks completely screwed up, so it's time for me to be creative in the layout department again, I guess.

Take care 'til next time!

I almost doubled my deviation count. 10 - I kid you not - 10 deviations since last. Concidering how little I submit, and how much I take down, it's pretty big for me. They'll probably end up in scraps eventually, when I get more work done. Though I'm not entirely sure if they will, actually....I looove the new category setting here on dA...

This one is actually old now. It's Prince Edward from the movie Enchanted. Love that character - seeing this pic now always makes me giggle.

Some long studies.

Croquis

Sketching

A picture which is actually inspired by my boyfriend...

Some character design

And finally, some perspective drawings.

Jerome-K-Moore . What can I say, Quest For Camelot is one of my all-time favorite animated movies, and I love the character concepts and art style. These are apparently official drawings, and I must say they look VERY professional too! Go check his gallery out, there's a whole bunch of good WB drawings in there, as well as others. Great work, *

With the portfolio done and all, perhaps it's time to start a new project, or better yet, dig up an old one left behind....ah, the possibilities...

Right, promised you some indie games, here they are.
First of all, a link to Aquaria:
[link]The video game name generater competition - it's coffee break fun and general hilarity most of it, and it's really worth checking out, because it's friggin' funny
